10 Tips to Park your car

- Be disciplined while parking your car. Drive around the parking lot to search the best park place.
- Also, look for the perfect angle while parking so that drivers of the cars parked next to your car are not disturbed while driving out their cars.
- If you’re getting into your car after you’ve been away from it for some time, check around it for any hazards. For example, make sure there are no small children or dogs nearby that you could run into.
- Before you enter or exit a parking spot, turn your head and look over your shoulder – don’t rely on your mirrors – to make sure you can do so safely.
- Even if you have a reversing sensor or camera, these are no substitutes for turning your head and using your eyes.
- Practice in a quiet street if you are using reverse censor for the first time.
- Always look in the direction in which your car is traveling. If you’re going backwards, turn around and look behind you; if you’re going forwards, look straight ahead of you.
- Turn your front wheels towards the curb or outer edge of the road, do not leave the wheels facing forward. Pull into a parking space. Whenever possible, park perpendicular to the hill.
- While parking a car, leave some space between your car and the car parked both in front and back of your car. This will help the parked cars drivers to move out their car with ease and without hitting yours.
- If your car has a manual transmission, then make sure that you leave your car in gear when parked on a hilly or sloppy surface and in neutral when parked in any interior space.
